VINTAGE FESTIVAL TO CHANGE FOR 2011!

As I have mentioned in previous posts, last year I attended VINTAGE AT GOODWOOD FESTIVAL. It was the festival's first year and was amazing, the atmosphere was so warm and friendly and was full of people from all ages and from across the world. This boutique festival had everything any fashion lover would call heaven, shopping, great food, fun activities, tutorials, great live music, fashion shows, some celebrities roaming around, the list just goes on and on. I made a lot of friends at this festival and I felt blessed that I could say I was at the very first VINTAGE FESTIVAL, I under the impression that as the festival was such a success it would return for many years to come, but most probably expanding every year, especially after the amount of great press about the weekend in August of 2010 the cause received . But I have just been informed that after the two organisers Wayne Hemingway and Lord March, have recently had a falling out (most probably over money/ business of some sort.) They have decided to go separate ways, at first it was thought that the festival would stay at the Goodwood estate, where the event took place last year, but it has recently been revealed that Hemingway is to bring the festival to London as part of the 'FESTIVAL OF BRITAIN' in late July. Therefore changing vintage from a festival, to a set up similar to those of The Clothes Show and Britain's Next Top Model live, which are amazing events, but another version of this type of fashion event is not needed. I loved how VINTAGE was a breath of fresh air compared to these events set in the big cities, I also loved how it was all so well tied together the music, fashion an festival elements all worked so well together to create a completely new experience
As you may have gathered I am upset by the news VINTAGE will no longer be a festival on the beautiful grounds of the Goodwood estate, as I do feel it will be over commercialised to make more money instead of focusing on the important part of continuing what VINTAGE set out to do, create a unique event for all ages. And I have done some research and it seems many have the same view as I do.
If I could talk to Hemingway and Lord March I would love to tell them that their event was magical and something that anyone who went, will never forget, and they should be very proud of that, but they should put the public first, not their own thoughts on money or each other ect, and create that magic, friendly, inspiring atmosphere again and again for years to come. I have so much respect for both men, for what they can/have achieved and thats why I have the reservations that I do, as I think it will be very hard to find that kind of magic again. And also I am very disappointed as ever since VINTAGE 2010 finished I have been looking forward to and planning 2011. So in my opinion they should ... KEEP WITH THE ORIGINAL GOODWOOD FESTIVAL!!

I do not intend to offend anyone by my opinions, as I understand others may feel differently, I would love to her others views on this or any other matters, please don't be afraid to leave a comment or tweet me :)

DAISY LOWE FOR PEACOCKS...

English model, Daisy Lowe is set to release a vintage-style swimwear collection for high street chain, PEACOCKS. Daisy is said to have got her inspiration for line from the French Riviera in the 50s and the style of the classic pin-up girls. Her collection will include bikinis, swimsuits and shorts, in sizes 8 to 16, and will be retailing from £18.

I am a massive fan of Daisy's and so I cannot wait to see her collection! I was lucky enough to sit front row at the fashion show Daisy and her mum Pearl put on at Vintage Festival '10, meaning I was sitting less than a metre away from one of my idols, to see the launch of her line for the French chain MORGAN and another amazing collection from her mother for PEACOCKS, (of which Daisy was the face.) Both collections I loved, and no doubt that Daisy's upcoming swimsuit line will not disappoint. Is there anything Daisy can't do??

Best show, I loved every single second

I really looking forward to see what Daisy will do next :)

BACK FOR 2011!!

hey guys!! sorry I haven't been posting anything for a while been so busy, but at least that means i have a lot of things to blog about.

First thing I wanted to share was my new love for a lip gloss from TOPSHOP. Its from the 'heavy duty collection' in 'Volt', I love it so much!! Its quite a dark berry colour, which means its wouldn't be most people's choice for day time, but it would look amazing on a night out. Its fair to say this gloss isn't sheer, but I  like to layer it a bit, to get a darker colour so if you only apply a little you could wear it during the day and then just add to it, for a night time look.

I wouldn't say this gloss is too sticky or shiny, and it smells lovely! This gloss is priced at £7.50 but is limited edition so go and stock up, im defiantly going to.

'VOLT' LIP GLOSS
priced at £7.50
This colour suits all skin tones and I feel is well worth the money. So try it out and tell me what you think, try something new with your look in 2011!

Enjoy :)
