VINTAGE FESTIVAL TO CHANGE FOR 2011!

As I have mentioned in previous posts, last year I attended VINTAGE AT GOODWOOD FESTIVAL. It was the festival's first year and was amazing, the atmosphere was so warm and friendly and was full of people from all ages and from across the world. This boutique festival had everything any fashion lover would call heaven, shopping, great food, fun activities, tutorials, great live music, fashion shows, some celebrities roaming around, the list just goes on and on. I made a lot of friends at this festival and I felt blessed that I could say I was at the very first VINTAGE FESTIVAL, I under the impression that as the festival was such a success it would return for many years to come, but most probably expanding every year, especially after the amount of great press about the weekend in August of 2010 the cause received . But I have just been informed that after the two organisers Wayne Hemingway and Lord March, have recently had a falling out (most probably over money/ business of some sort.) They have decided to go separate ways, at first it was thought that the festival would stay at the Goodwood estate, where the event took place last year, but it has recently been revealed that Hemingway is to bring the festival to London as part of the 'FESTIVAL OF BRITAIN' in late July. Therefore changing vintage from a festival, to a set up similar to those of The Clothes Show and Britain's Next Top Model live, which are amazing events, but another version of this type of fashion event is not needed. I loved how VINTAGE was a breath of fresh air compared to these events set in the big cities, I also loved how it was all so well tied together the music, fashion an festival elements all worked so well together to create a completely new experience
As you may have gathered I am upset by the news VINTAGE will no longer be a festival on the beautiful grounds of the Goodwood estate, as I do feel it will be over commercialised to make more money instead of focusing on the important part of continuing what VINTAGE set out to do, create a unique event for all ages. And I have done some research and it seems many have the same view as I do.
If I could talk to Hemingway and Lord March I would love to tell them that their event was magical and something that anyone who went, will never forget, and they should be very proud of that, but they should put the public first, not their own thoughts on money or each other ect, and create that magic, friendly, inspiring atmosphere again and again for years to come. I have so much respect for both men, for what they can/have achieved and thats why I have the reservations that I do, as I think it will be very hard to find that kind of magic again. And also I am very disappointed as ever since VINTAGE 2010 finished I have been looking forward to and planning 2011. So in my opinion they should ... KEEP WITH THE ORIGINAL GOODWOOD FESTIVAL!!

I do not intend to offend anyone by my opinions, as I understand others may feel differently, I would love to her others views on this or any other matters, please don't be afraid to leave a comment or tweet me :)

ENJOY!!

DAISY LOWE FOR PEACOCKS...

English model, Daisy Lowe is set to release a vintage-style swimwear collection for high street chain, PEACOCKS. Daisy is said to have got her inspiration for line from the French Riviera in the 50s and the style of the classic pin-up girls. Her collection will include bikinis, swimsuits and shorts, in sizes 8 to 16, and will be retailing from £18.

I am a massive fan of Daisy's and so I cannot wait to see her collection! I was lucky enough to sit front row at the fashion show Daisy and her mum Pearl put on at Vintage Festival '10, meaning I was sitting less than a metre away from one of my idols, to see the launch of her line for the French chain MORGAN and another amazing collection from her mother for PEACOCKS, (of which Daisy was the face.) Both collections I loved, and no doubt that Daisy's upcoming swimsuit line will not disappoint. Is there anything Daisy can't do??

Best show, I loved every single second

I really looking forward to see what Daisy will do next :)

Enjoy xx

BACK FOR 2011!!

hey guys!! sorry I haven't been posting anything for a while been so busy, but at least that means i have a lot of things to blog about.

First thing I wanted to share was my new love for a lip gloss from TOPSHOP. Its from the 'heavy duty collection' in 'Volt', I love it so much!! Its quite a dark berry colour, which means its wouldn't be most people's choice for day time, but it would look amazing on a night out. Its fair to say this gloss isn't sheer, but I  like to layer it a bit, to get a darker colour so if you only apply a little you could wear it during the day and then just add to it, for a night time look.

I wouldn't say this gloss is too sticky or shiny, and it smells lovely! This gloss is priced at £7.50 but is limited edition so go and stock up, im defiantly going to.

'VOLT' LIP GLOSS
priced at £7.50
This colour suits all skin tones and I feel is well worth the money. So try it out and tell me what you think, try something new with your look in 2011!

Enjoy :)

ALL SAINTS JEWELLERY!!!

I have my friend round tonight, and we thought it would be fun to blog about some things we love at the moment. The first thing we wanted to share was the jewellery from allsaints.com. With the items ranging from £21 - £55, with 50% off on some items, we think these pieces are really well priced and well worth the money.

Our favourite piece from the collection is the 'Rula Charm Bracelet' priced at now £31.50
'Rula Charm Bracelet'
'embellished with Indian coin charms, cross pendant, a decorative padlock and multi chain detailing draping loose.'

We love this bracelet because,

'The Indian coin charms make it different type of charm bracelet, than usually seen.'
'I like how each of the charms are different, and could tell a story.'

This bracelet would look amazing with, your leather jacket and biker boots, which are very in, this season. This piece of jewellery will give you an extra quirky look to your everyday outfit.

Check out the all saints jewellery collection, and tell us what you think.
ENJOY!!

CHER LLOYD'S LEGGINGS

For those of you who followed this year's X Factor you may have seen, Cher Lloyd wearing these amazing slimming leggings on the show's Elton John week. I can't say I was a massive fan of Cher's style but I loved these leggings and think that the week she wore these, was the real turning point for her style. These leggings are sold at arrogantcat.com for £52, and yes, I do feel they are pricey but I do really love them, and how they are a twist on the normal, plain, black leggings.

Cher topped the look off with a sharp tailored tux jacket,
also from the Arrogant Cat range (priced at £149)
If you want Cher's look team this jacket and leggings combo with a black tank top and some black booties. Keep jewellery to a minimum (maybe just one or two small pieces) and make-up light, a bronzed look made from gold shadows, bronzer and highlighters would make this look show stopping, but not to over the top.
Can't wait to see her style evolve over this coming year.
Tell me what you think of Cher's look, love it? Or hate it?
ENJOY!

Galibardy.co.uk

Still looking for those last few Christmas presents? Well galibardy.co.uk has tons of great pieces of jewellery, at very affordable prices. These pieces are of a quite grungy style, but there are a few more girlie items. This website offers great jewellery, that I think would be hard to find anywhere on the high street, that is so well made at this cost. Their unique designs should be worn with confidence, and they add another dimension to any outfit, if you like Topshop and All Saints I think you will really love this website.
I LOVE ...
 Vintage Microphone Necklace - £14.00
I love the vintage feel to this necklace, it is quite unique as you don't see these in all of the shops. I think it would give subtle edge to an outfit.

AND ...

Regal Angel Wings Ring - £21.00
I love this ring, because I love wide rings like these, this is defiantly a statement piece, but I also feel I could where this out on a normal day.

These are just two of the pieces I love, there are so many more, and they have a section for men and a Boutique section for the more expensive items, so there will be a present for everyone to be found, and probably quite a few things for yourself. So check out the website and tell me what you think.

I have more jewellery website to blog about, so they will be posted in the next few months the keep checking back here.
ENJOY! :)

PARTY DRESSES FROM RARE AT TOPSHOP

This season's collection from ‘Rare’ at topshop is full of sequin dresses, cute cocktail dresses and some coats, maxi dresses and jumpsuits scattered through the range. And surprisingly affordable prices. When I first saw these dresses I expected prices well over £50, but no, the most of the sequin dresses are priced around the £40 to £50 mark, meaning that they are definitely a good pick for a festive party dress. My favourite two dresses for the festive season are the ‘GOLD SEQUIN DRESS’ and the ‘SEQUIN SWEETHEART DRESS
GOLD SEQUIN DRESS BY RARE**
Price: £39.00
Colour: GOLD
Asymmetric gold seqiun bodycon dress with 3/4 length sleeve 100% Polyester.
SEQUIN SWEETHEART DRESS BY RARE**
Price: £39.00
Colour: BLACK
Black and silver mix sequin sweetheart line dress with jersey bust
97% Cotton,3% Elastane.

The sweetheart neckline by Rare, reminded me of this signature style by the Brian Lichtenburg brand (as shown above on Katy Perry)

I love these two dresses by Rare as they are both quite individual in their colour and shape, but would also make a fun outfit for the party season.
But if these sequin dresses are not your style, still check out the Rare range at www.topshop.com because they also have some more great dresses that are just as gorgeous but maybe not so sparkly.

This is my first post, so I hope you like it, there will be more to come so keep checking this page.
